  Il canto a tenore è senz'altro un momento centrale della vita culturale sarda, è la scena musicale delle più consuete manifestazioni di vita pastorale tipiche del centro Sardegna: lì la musica etnica si colora d'arcaico, la vita del pastore e i pulpiti della natura si fanno simbiosi di canto e melodia, il sentimento e l'espressione diventano arte, quasi magia.
  The “ Cantu a Tenore” singing represents a central highlight in the whole Sardinian ethnic music .They are the sherpherd’s songs, without music except the one created by the different voices composing the singing group .The evocative power of this music brings to life archaic shepherd’s life and the magic spell of the rugged and lonesome Sardinian landscape.
